The USC (University of Southern California) Marshall Center for Global Supply Chain Management hosted the 8th Annual Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit on 13 and 14 October 2020.
With a theme of: “The Future of Supply Chain – Outlook 2025”, it was definitely a Summit to visit and look into for all supply chain enthusiasts. The conference was free and was delivered virtually! It could therefore be joined from across the world.
Ron Volpe, our Snr VP of International Markets, formed part of the panel and speaker line-up for the plenary session that focused on the Healthcare Supply Chain Amid COVID-19.
Ron’s presentation was on the 14th of October during the 11:25 to 12:25 (PDT) plenary session. He shared information about initiatives that the workgroup focused on to help address the impacts of COVID-19 on the Healthcare Supply Chain.
Ron believes that in the wake of COVID-19, supply chains must be managed differently. In his article “One Giant Leap for Mankind” he suggests 5 “moonshot principles” that leaders and supply chain managers can follow to ensure that they look at their supply chain differently.
