PSQR joins the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability (GDST)

PSQR is excited to announce that we have joined seafood companies from across the globe as an endorser and adopter of the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability (GDST) Normative Standards. Not unlike our adoption of GS1‘s EPCIS standards, we see our alignment with GDST as a critical enabler of interoperability across complex global seafood supply chains.

What is Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability?

As background, the Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability or GDST is an international, business-to-business platform convened and facilitated by the World Wildlife Fund and the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) in 2017 to create the first-ever global industry standards for seafood traceability.

The Dialogue developed interoperable industry standards to:

  • Improve the reliability of seafood information
  • Reduce the cost of seafood traceability
  • Contribute to seafood supply chain risk reduction
  • Contribute to securing the long-term social and environmental sustainability of the sector

What Does Endorsing GDST Standards Bring?

As seafood traceability service providers, the GDST standards enable us and open new opportunities to increase global interoperability and verifiability.

In return, this ensures that the value and strength of the seafood industry as well as the importance of seafood traceability systems keep increasing.

Our utmost goal is to contribute and add to the value of the seafood supply chain, making it more:

  • Optimised
  • Transparent
  • Visible
