LEVEL 5 SERIALIZATION AND TRACEABILITY
Comprehensive traceability solution
Level 5 (L5) in serialization and traceability refers to the highest level of sophistication and capability in a system designed to track and trace products throughout the supply chain.
At this level, the system provides comprehensive and granular visibility into product movements, enabling precise tracking from the point of production to the point of consumption.
Level 5 serialization and traceability enables stakeholders to manage inventory effectively, reduce risks related to product recalls or counterfeiting, and optimize supply chain processes based on real-time data insights.

Traceability Stack
(Saga as Level 5)
With a strong presence in traceability for over 20 years, PSQR’s software solution, Saga, has served multiple governments and enterprises.
By implementing the Saga traceability stack as your Level 5 solution, you can expect the following features:
- Serving government/authorities
- Receive data from industry (L4 systems)
- Both synchronous and asynchronous processing – minimize industry impact
- Ensure eventual consistency
- Generate relevant reports
Individual item tracking
Each individual product or item is uniquely identified and tracked throughout its lifecycle. This allows for precisely monitoring each unit’s journey through the supply chain.
Real-time data capture
Data related to product movements, including location, status, and handling, is captured in real time. This provides immediate visibility and responsiveness to any anomalies or issues.
Integration across systems
The serialization system is integrated seamlessly with other supply chain management systems (such as ERP systems, inventory management, and logistics systems) to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
Global standards compliance
Adherence to global serialization standards (e.g., GS1 standards) to enable interoperability and compatibility with supply chain partners worldwide.
Traceability across the supply chain
Comprehensive traceability capabilities enable backward and forward tracking of products, allowing stakeholders to quickly identify a product’s origins and journey through various supply chain stages.
Aggregation and disaggregation
Ability to aggregate products into higher-level packaging units (e.g., cases, pallets) and disaggregate them back to individual items for detailed tracking and tracing.
Integration with authentication technology
Integration with anti-counterfeiting and authentication technologies (such as RFID, barcodes, or digital tags) to enhance security and prevent illicit activities in the supply chain.
Compliance with national regulations
By being able to report on detailed product movements and origins and ensure transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain, companies can more easily comply with national regulations.

CORRECT REPORTING TO THE GOVERNMENTS
Anti-tampering device (ATD)
An anti-tampering device is a security feature designed to detect or prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or tampering with a product, ensuring its integrity and authenticity.
Together with PSQR’s traceability software, you can opt for the integration of the anti-tampering device (ATD) and get additional features:
- Data uploaded directly from VCS systems and sent to the L5 for audit trail and cross-reference purposes
- Data integrity validated locally before submission
- Offline support, support at least 7 days of productions
- Built for high-speed production lines, supporting 1600 UIDs per minute
- Integration with production line to trigger production stops in case of critical issues
